On August 29th, 2018 I salvaged a disposable camera from the Salvation Army at 121 58th Ave SW, Calgary Ab. I noticed the counter was on zero and convinced the manager to let it go for a discounted price, taking a chance that there would be anything on the roll at all. I immediately developed the film and the roll looked rather dark and washed, but there were images. I've scanned the images as seen below. My goal would be to locate the woman in the photos or her family, and return the images to someone they will ultimately have more meaning to.
The camera was Rite Aid brand, and the expiry date was 03/2004. Based off her camping gear and backpack in the one image I do believe that these photos were shot shortly after the purchase of the camera. This means that these photos sat unseen inside this little black box for the last 15 years. Any help in locating this woman or her family, or identifying the geographic location these were taken, is greatly appreciated!!
Through the recommendations of my pal Chris Istace and a rabbit hole of research + posting to facebook groups I have located the general area. These photos were taken near Bishop CA, found landmarking based off the mountains in the background. But the search isn't over!
